Madeira Marlins Weekly Updates: June 6-12

What a great first week of the swim and dive season! We are looking forward to another fun week.

-Please remember to activate your swimtopia account at madeiramarlins.swimtopia.com by clicking on register now, and declare your swimmer/diver by tonight at 10 pm for Thursday’s meet at Mt. Lookout.

-Practice Schedule for the week is the same as last week for diving. Swimming schedule is the same Monday-Thursday. Friday swim practice hours will now be 8:45-10 for ages 9 and up, 10-10:25 for the 8 and under main group and 10:25-10:55 for mini marlins.

We will have donuts and weekly awards at 10:30 for all divers and swimmers. Donuts/juice is $0.75 and will go toward end of the season coaches gifts. Mini marlins are welcome to grab a donut when they get out of the water at 10:55.

-Busy meet week for the Marlins. Thursday, we travel to Mt. Lookout for our first dual meet of the season, and Saturday the 8 and unders (mini and main team) will be in the water with Kenwood for a mini meet at our pool.

• Mt. Lookout meet

Dive- Arrive by 3:15. Warmups 3:30, Meet starts 4:00

Swim - Arrive by 5:30, Warmups 6:05, Meet starts 6:30

Mt. Lookout has asked that we limit spectators to immediate family only due to certain covid protocols they are following at their club. Please be respectful of their request, and only bring immediate family members to the meet.

Parking is VERY limited at Mt. Lookout Swim Club. There is a small lot and street parking available. Please do not park in front of driveways, and be aware that much of the street parking is only on one side of the street (you will get towed if on wrong side).

Mt. Lookout will be running a grill during the meet.

There are a few jobs that still need filled for Thursday’s meet. If you are available to help, please sign up!

-Mini Meet

This home meet is for ALL 8 and under swimmers. Please arrive at the pool by 8:50. The meet will start at 9 and should wrap up by 10:30.

-Attached is a goal sheet for swimmers. If your swimmer would like to fill out a sheet, please turn in completed form to Coach Brad. He will work with the swimmer’s to meet their goals this season!
